For every “like” The Merrimack receives on Facebook now through July 1, we’ll donate $1 to the Payson Center for Cancer Care.
We’re excited to once again lend our name to the Merrimack County Savings Bank Rock 'N Race in support of Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care. 2013 marks our fifth year as headlining supporter and our tenth year of sponsorship.
Last year, Rock 'N Race raised $511,000, which funded Payson Center for Cancer Care programs and services through the HOPE Resource Center, and provided financial assistance for cancer patients in need. In 2012, Concord Hospital invested $819,233 in supportive programs and services for cancer patients and their families. These funds came directly from sponsorships and Rock 'N Race contributions. The supportive programs consisted of educational components as well as financial and nutritional counseling, spiritual care and even items like wigs for patients who could not afford them. Last year, approximately $388,000 in charitable cancer care was provided by the hospital to 81 patients.
Don’t forget to stop by our tent by the main stage to pick up one of our cool car magnets or window clings and show your MACK pride.
