Karen O’Sullivan and Melinda White Honored with STAR of the Month Awards

Merrimack County Savings Bank has recognized two employees for its STAR of the Month Employee Recognition program: Karen O’Sullivan, Commercial Loan Administrator and Melinda White, Construction Loan Coordinator.

O’Sullivan, based out of the Merrimack’s Business Center on 190 North Main Street in Concord, was recognized for her flexibility and commitment to service. The following are some peer-submitted comments about O’Sullivan:

  • “Karen’s work with customers is impeccable… we have customers who always want to talk to Karen! She is always in a good mood and that is reflected in all that she does. If there is a big project she jumps right in and helps out.”
  • “Karen is always willing to support and help the bank. She has volunteered for Rock ‘N Race and Market Days for years.”
  • “Karen is always looking to streamline our work. She offers good suggestions to make the workflow more efficient.”
  • “Karen quietly goes about her work. She is always helpful, always willing to lend a hand or to train, and consistently goes the extra mile. Her customer service skills are second to none. I always appreciate the ‘extra’ help she provides when the schedule is busy.”

White, based out of the Merrimack’s Office on 503 South Street in Bow, was recognized for her excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The following are some peer-submitted comments about White:

  • “Melinda is always willing to help anyone in the office, and assists with loan servicing questions, since she used to work in loan servicing. She has a great deal of knowledge and assists us all daily.”
  • “Melinda has created checklists to ensure that figures are accurate before closing and that nothing is missed. She has exceptional problem solving skills.”
  • “She always has a very positive attitude and will assist anyone in need of help.”
  • “I am very impressed with Melinda and her ability to have come from loan servicing to a position she knew nothing about. She has direct contact with builders, clients, suppliers and contractors, which is quite a balancing act. She is very professional, attends her closings and goes above and beyond for the builders and our borrowers daily. She is an amazing asset to our department and to the Bank. I am thankful for her every day.”

Originally developed in 1997, the STAR awards recognizes exceptional employees, nominated by their peers, who demonstrate accountability for their actions, excellence in many areas of work, respect for others, integrity, teamwork and stewardship at the office and in the community.
