Merrimack Valley Day Care Receives $3,200 Grant from Merrimack County Savings Bank Foundation

Concord, NH – April 30, 2015 – The Merrimack County Savings Bank Foundation granted $3,200 to the Merrimack Valley Day Care in Concord, NH. This grant will assist in the repair of the organization’s location on Fruit Street. This is one of 19 awards presented by the Foundation to not-for-profit organizations, according to Paul Rizzi, President and CEO of Merrimack County Savings Bank.

“We are especially grateful to Merrimack Valley Day Care for providing quality child care for local children. The need for help is immediate and we are happy that The Foundation is able to offer support,” said Rizzi. “Our thanks and appreciation goes out to The Merrimack County Savings Bank Foundation,” said Mary Jane Wallner, Executive Director of Merrimack Valley Day Care. Wallner continued, “This grant will go directly toward the repair of crumbling masonry at our location on 19 North Fruit Street (in Concord, NH).”

Founded in 1967, Merrimack Valley Day Care Service offers high quality and affordable childcare services for children of low-income families and for children with special needs. Currently, there are more than 250 children at five Merrimack Valley Day Care centers within Greater Concord.
