June STAR of the Month Awarded to Jessica LaBonte

Concord, NH – July 23, 2014 – The Merrimack is pleased to recognize Jessica LaBonte, Operations Analyst of Tilton, NH, with its Employee STAR of the Month award for June 2014. Merrimack STAR awards are peer-nominated and distributed monthly. LaBonte was recognized for her excellent customer service skills, flexibility and ability to handle challenges with ease.

One of the 12 monthly prizewinners will go on to win the Annual STAR Award which includes a paid vacation day and cash prize. “It was a lot of fun surprising Jessica,” said Philip B. Emma, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Merrimack County Savings Bank. Emma continued, “We did things a little differently this time. Since Jessica often collaborates with our Commercial Lending Department, Ed Caron, [Executive Vice President] and Tom Dustin [Vice President] were also on hand read comments submitted about Jessica: ‘Jess has a friendly and bubbly disposition that makes her a joy to be around. Her vigilance about our customers’ welfare and the safety of their money encapsulates Merrimack Style. Above all, she is passionate about helping people find solutions. She feels rewarded when a customer expresses relief on resolved issues.’”

About The Merrimack STAR Awards

Originally developed in 1997, ‘STAR’ referred to “Standards to Achieve Results”. Today, the term ‘STAR’ has evolved to define exceptional employees, nominated by their peers, who are considerate, work well with everyone and make a habit of ‘going the extra mile’.

STARs are monthly, peer-nominated performance awards given to Merrimack employees, chosen by Merrimack employees. From the monthly winners, a STAR of the Year is selected and announced at the annual company dinner. STAR recipients are employees who most embody Merrimack Style,which includes:
